Youth Development Coordinator
Spokesman for young archers & Provincial Junior Coordinators, ensuring that views, comments and opinions reach the ACC and FCA management. Within the Archery Canada system, direct responsibility for the planning, delivery and evaluation of activities related to junior archery contributing towards the development and attainment of archery performance goals and co-ordination of activities and programmes with provincial volunteers who hold similar responsibilities. Overall operation of Youth Development programmes, including: Leadership - Identify and/or recruit provincial/regional co-ordinators - Select & recruit national resource people - Orient & train volunteers for their roles, as necessary - Liaise with other ACC members, FCA Board of Directors, & PSOs - Communicate with young archers and FCA's membership in general Planning - Identify and revise, as needed for the national component, Third Millennium - Provide input to Management component, Third Millennium Development Projects - Keep updated version of FCA Task List (sample on last page) Implementation - Survey and catalogue current provincial youth development programmes, activities and record the rounds shot and age divisions used in each - Co-ordinate the delivery of established FCA programmes and services - Link programme participants - Increase the number of competitive experiences for youth nationally - Create and supervise appropriate programme activities - Address issues within the programme - Promote the programme and its benefits - Contribute regularly in the FCA's official electronic publications - Work with webmaster to ensure web site information for portfolio is correct - Participate as a member of the Archery Canada Council - Communicate youth development information to Board & membership Evaluation - Evaluate clinic reports, participation and feedback and submit recommendations to the Vice-President ACC Committees and Projects. Reporting - To V/P Archery Canada Committees and Projects regularly (i.e. quarterly) - To V/P Archery Canada Events and Services regularly (i.e. 2x per year) - To Board, 1x per year (written) - To Membership at AGM (written) Resource Materials: - FCA Rules book, Championships Hosting Manual, Volunteer Handbook, Volunteer Directory, Policy Manual, meeting minutes posted on the FCA web site, Canada Games Technical package |
