Call for Bids to Host Archery Canada 2012 Trials
To Select the RECURVE Archers for the Final Olympic Qualification Tournament and World Cup, Ogden, Utah.
June 17 – 23, 2012
Archery Canada is accepting bids to host the 2012 Team Trials for the following international teams. Trials are considered a Canadian major event.
• 2012 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament, Ogden, Utah
• The INDIVIDUAL man and, if women earn an Olympic quota spot, the woman that will be named to the 2012 Olympic Team

• The RECURVE archers that will be compete in the Ogden World Cup
The Trials will be a 4 day event with the following schedule.
Day 1 – Official practice, registration and equipment inspection
Day 2 – Qualification round for all archers - two 720 rounds (144 arrows)
Day 3 – Set Play simulation
Day 4 – Canadian Double Elimination round
The date for the Trials will be May 25th – 28th, 2012.
The High Performance Committee (HPC) will consider bids from clubs if the organising committee can demonstrate:
• The ability to run a tournament to the highest international standards
• That the HPC team selection process for the 2012 Team Trials will be followed.
Day 2 of the tournament may also open to archers who are not qualified or registered for the Trials so that they can participate in the double 720 round.
Host clubs wishing to submit bids should include the following information:
1. Acceptance of the proposed dates (above)
2. The location of the proposed venue
3. Process for arranging hotel accommodation selection and pricing
4. Names and contact information for key organising committee members
5. Location and facilities for Doping Control Testing
6. Name of the Director of Shooting
7. Name of the person in charge of results
8. How would your facilities accommodate athletes with a disability?
Bids must be received by the Archery Canada office no later than February 6th 2012.
