RULE BOOK EDITOR
Your role is to manage and revise FCA's rules book every two years, ensuring views, comments and opinions reach the HPC, ACC, 3D Committee and FCA management. Within the Archery Canada system, direct responsibility for the format, content and organization of FCA rules. Overall responsibilities of the rules book editor including: Leadership - Liaise with FCA's FITA representative - Liaise with FCA's 3D Committee - Liaise with FCA's Judges Committee - Recruit & select national resource people, as required - Orient & train volunteers for their roles, as necessary - Liaise with other ACC members, FCA Board of Directors, & PSOs - Communicate with provincial counterparts and FCA's membership in general Planning - Identify additions, corrections and apparent contradictions in existing rules - Provide input to Management with a list of proposed rule changes for approval in time for the next publishing date Development Projects - Keep updated version of FCA Task List (sample on last page) Implementation - Catalogue rule changes after meetings of relevant international archery sport governing bodies - List proposed rule changes for Board discussion and approval - Supervise editing of existing FCA rules book every two years - Address issues - Co-ordinate translation efforts with chairman of judge committee - Contribute regularly in the FCA's official electronic publications - Provide electronic copy of rules to FCA web master for publication - Work with webmaster to ensure web site information for portfolio is correct - Provide electronic copy of rules to FCA staff for publication - Participate as a member of the Archery Canada Council Evaluation - Evaluate future revision needs and feedback and submit recommendations to the Vice-President ACC Committees and Projects Reporting - To V/P Archery Canada Committees and Projects regularly (i.e. quarterly) - To Board, 1x per year (written) o To Membership at AGM (written) Resource Materials: - FCA Rules book, Championships Hosting Manual, Volunteer Handbook, Volunteer Directory, Policy Manual, meeting minutes posted on the FCA web site, FITA Rules book |
